SPOILER WALL

OK, This thread is intended to help plan an April Fools Day joke or prank for the wiki. I've chosen to host the discussion here rather than the wiki, for obvious reasons. If you have been provided with a link to this discussion, it means I trust you not to go blabbing this around to everyone on the wiki. Feel free to spread the location of this discussion to anyone else you deem as trustworthy, though please keep in mind that we're not seeking community consensus to undertake this operation.

So, are there any ideas for possible jokes or pranks? Can anyone remember what, if anything, we did last year? My memory's a little foggy on this for some reason. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 02:59, January 17, 2014 (UTC)

Last year we said that the planned futuristic EP (later revealed to be ItF) was cancelled and being replaced with Corymach-inspired EPs.
For this year I don't have any ideas that I have my heart set on but I think it would be cool if maybe we did something wiki-related that's bound to annoy others if we were serious about it. I'd like to do something original with this though and not just a classic "we're deleting X" (unless we're going to be creative about it). Also could we perhaps retire "Melvin the pedocat"? It was funny the first time then it got kind of old.
Another option is to perhaps modify the theme of the wiki in some way. It's something different and it allows creativity. I haven't thought this through in any detail yet but it's just an idea.
I'm happy that we're actually discussing this in advance this year. I have to say I was dismayed last year when we pretty much left it to the last minute and it became a clusterfuck of ideas being forced down each other's throats because we couldn't agree on anything. At least here we have a record and a sufficient amount of time to go over this so perhaps we'll find it easier to make a decision on what to do.
